I bought my sister some Crochet books, hooks and yarn for her birthday this year, and, whilst I was over in England we went through them together, and tried to pick it up as best we could (she did better than me!) The result is that I can now do simple crochet!

For years and years I've wanted to learn so I could make some cute amigurumi (a Japanese fad for crocheting and knitting little toys), when I got home I had a look at some of the crochet charts in a Japanese book I picked up a few years ago, and from there designed and made my first amigurumi, Sebastian!!!!!!!

This little guy has been going every where with me. I already started on my next project, I think I might have caught that crochet bug that's been going around recently.

Also, this suggestion may take a while, but I'd like to see you attempt at making a parasol. The idea would fit in perfectly with your theme. :) And everyone likes lace!
I have been planning a parasol for a while, found a place to buy the hardware, and doing a little research to see if I can make it good to use in the rain as well as shine!
Just need to work out which I want to tackle first, parasols or hats?!
But he's so adorable~!!!! <3
